Curiosity

What is around the next corner?  What’s going to happen next?  What will it be like to live in a foreign country?  What will the people be like?  What new thing will today bring?

These are the questions curious people ask and seek out answers to.  The mundane and ordinary only hold their interest so long.  It is the search for practical surprises…mini-innovations in their own personal existence.  It’s making a habit of doing new things, seeing new places, and finding new challenges.

Is this your life, or are you stuck?  If you’re stuck, then how do you get out?  What is holding you back?

In my experience stuck people hate being stuck, but at the same time they also work really hard to stay stuck.  Change is scary, because they may lose something.  The irony is they will lose what is making them miserable.  It is not the fear of change, but the fear of loss that keeps stuck people doing exactly what they did yesterday…they have resigned their fate, and there is no hope left.
