When Is Your Next Trip?

I have said it before, but study abroad is just travel and credits.  If you have already earned enough credits, in whatever you are looking to get credit in, then you are free to travel.  So what is stopping you?  This is where you make the mental fear list of everything that is impeding your dreams of running with the bulls in Pamplona, celebrating New Years in Japan, or jumping out of airplanes on every inhabited continent.

Most adults have debt, families, and jobs that won’t allow them to travel.  You have responsibilities, but are they really stopping you from traveling?  People travel with kids all the time.  Google it if you don’t believe me.  Last I checked it doesn’t take a credit check to book an airline ticket, and most jobs will give you vacation.  The question is how badly do you want to travel?

Do you want to travel enough to sell some of your things?  Do you want to travel enough to tell your kids no when they want you to buy them everything in sight?  Will you cut up your credit cards, or freeze them in a block of ice in the freezer so you stop spending?  If not, then take a trip to Scranton this weekend.  The malls there are good enough.

The problem is not the external things in life.  The problem is that your priorities are not focused on traveling.  I have found that if people want to do something bad enough then find a way.  So, when is your next trip?
