What Do You Want?

Traveling is not difficult.  It can be expensive, but it can also be cheap if you know how to plan and are willing to improvise.  So why don’t more people go places?  The reason is they don’t know what they want.  For all the complaining people do for what is holding them back, the reality is they don’t really know what they want.

It’s easy to see why.  Where in the world do you go when you can go anywhere?  What’s the best place to eat in when you have over 50 dinner choices in Cortland?  What do I take in college when I have no clue what I want to be when I grow up?

It’s no wonder so many people sit back and do nothing.  They are waiting to get hit by the great bus of destiny, only to find themselves hanging out at the same bars they did ten years ago.  Why?  Because waiting around in the same places is how they defined their lives as a default.

Define one small change you want to make this week, and see what happens.  Or you could go to the same old bar again.  I am sure Budweiser will taste the same in 20 years.  You’ll just be older.
